R.I.P. Nate Dogg
It has been really hard for me personally to see one of the West coast pioneers pass away earlier this month. Nate Dogg, who started rapping at a young age, started his career on Dre’s “The Chronic” that was released back in 1992. We are saddened by his death and wish his family and friends comfort in this time of grief and pain.
End of 2009 is approaching and rapper Flo Rida has something to be proud of. He has the most downloadable song of the decade and it’s the song “Low” which has sold over 5 million copies in the digital world and that makes the most downloadable song of the decade.
According to the famous rapper, 50 Cent – he is worth $400 million. Yes you heard it right, $400 million dollars. The rapper apparently is not suffering from the recession and bragged about it on Howard Stern show on Sirius. Recently there was some news that the rapper had lost money on some investments, but 50 re-assured his fans that he is still very much rich. So rich, that most people can’t even comprehend how rich that is.
According to Alex Duncan (the victim) back in 2003 when he tried leaving the concert at Albany NY, him and Busta Rhymes exchanged words and the rapper splashed Alex Duncan with water. After he splashed him with water, he threw two more bottles at the victim. The judge ordered Busta to pay $75,000 to Alex Duncan. I hope some rapper splashes me with some water – judges have gone mad – in the old days you would have to get hit by a semi truck to get $75k but I guess now days all it takes is a bottle of water.
Baby announced Wednesday on Twitter that the long awaited album has been pushed once again from the original release date of December 21 to February 1st, 2010. The Rebirth album has already had over dozen release dates and it looks like this may not be the last. This album will be much different to what Lil Wayne has been releasing and its more Rock and not hip hop. Lil Wayne also acknowledged and said that this is not a rap album. We find it kind of strange for one of the most known rappers in the world to release a rock album. This can also be a media scam just to hype up the album so that when they do release it, it will sell in the millions.
On Wednesday December 9th, a Los Angeles judge David Cunningham III ordered Nas to pay $51,000 per month in child support fees to Kelis for their infant child Knight. He had been paying a monthly child support of $40,000 per month but Judge decided that since the rapper has made lots of money recently, to make that fat monthly child support to even in phatter one. I dont care how much Nas makes, I think there should be a limit. What baby knight is going to drink from a 18k golden milk bottle with diamond studs in em ? you see what I mean. At least Nas is paying and is stepping up but $51k a month is just ridiculous.
